Digital Learning Resources for Students

Students enrolled in District 65 schools have access to a variety of digital learning resources. The majority of the resources are available through Clever, a single sign-on platform, so that students can access a variety of digital learning resources, without having to input additional login information. Below is a list of digital learning resources, a quick description, and access information for many of the resources students have access to.

Please note, on iPads, D65 K-2nd and 6th-8th grade students use the App Self-Service to download approved Apps onto their iPads. If an app exists in Self-Service, students must first install the App in order for Clever to open it properly.

Clever Login Instructions

Students and educators can access Clever through the Clever app on iPads or the Clever login page on a web browser. Students can log in to Clever by using their Clever login, which is their D65 Google credentials, or by scanning their Clever QR code badge (grades PK-2) when opening the Clever app on iPads; if applicable, educators will share Clever badges with students each school year.

Clever Badge Login

STEP 1:

Access the Clever login page or the Clever app and click Clever Badge log in.

STEP 2:

You may be asked for Clever to access your webcam if this is your first time using a Clever Badge. Please click "Allow" or "OK.”

Hold your badge over the webcam until you can see the entire badge. When it detects your badge, you will see a blue checkmark appear and it will sound a chime.

	Seesaw is a learning management platform for student engagement. K-2 students use tools to take pictures, draw, record videos in order to share work on their classroom portfolio.	K-2 students access Seesaw by logging-in to Clever, then clicking on the Seesaw Icon.
	Google Classroom is a learning management platform where 3rd-8th grade students access digital resources, complete assignments, and communicate and collaborate with classmates and teachers.	3rd-8th grade students access Google Classroom by: Chromebook- Clicking on the Classroom Icon located in the App Launcher Icon or “waffle” in Google Chrome. iPad- Opening the Classroom App

	BrainPOP is a platform where 3rd-8th grade students can view educational videos from across different content areas.	3rd-8th grade students access BrainPOP by logging-in to Clever, then clicking on the BrainPOP Icon.
	BrainPOP Jr. is a platform where K-3rd grade students can view educational videos from across different content areas.	K-3rd grade students access BrainPOP Jr. by logging-in to Clever, then clicking on the BrainPOP Icon.
	IXL is a platform that allows 6th-8th grade students to work on various math and literacy skills and generates personalized guidance for each learner.	6th-8th grade students and 5th-8th grade students at Magnet Schools access IXL by logging-in to Clever, then clicking on the IXL Icon.

	Learning A-Z is a reading platform where K-3rd grade students can read eBooks and complete comprehension activities.	K-3rd grade students access Learning A-Z by logging-in to Clever, then clicking on the Learning A-Z Icon.
	Newsela is a platform where 3rd-8th grade students can read articles assigned by their teachers; Newsela articles feature questions and writing prompts that are aligned with Common Core standards.	3rd-8th grade students access Newsela by logging-in to Clever, then clicking on the Newsela Icon.
	EPIC! is a free reading platform that offers K-8th grade students access to leveled texts, in which they can both read and listen.	K-8th grade students access EPIC! by logging-in to Clever, then clicking on the EPIC! Icon. Students have to join a class with a “Class Code” shared by their teachers. Epic! will only work during school hours.
	myON is a digital library that gives K-8th grade students access to more than 7,000 digital books. Book titles are matched to each individual student's interests, grade and reading level.	K-8th grade students access myON by logging-in to Clever, then clicking on the myON Icon.

	ST Math is a math platform that K-8th grade students use; the platform was designed to remove language barriers and focuses on visual learning as an innovative way to grasp math concepts.	K-8th grade students access ST Math by logging-in to Clever, then clicking on the ST Math Icon.
	Zearn is an interactive learning platform that some K-8th grade students may use for further practice of particular math skills. Zearn follows the Engage NY materials and is aligned to the Common Core.	K-8th grade students access Zearn by logging-in to Clever, then clicking on the Zearn Icon.

	IStation Reading is a platform that K-8th grade students can use in order to practice literacy skills that are most predictive of reading success.	K-8th grade students enrolled in TWI programming or K-8th grade students who receive EB services can access IStation by logging-in to Clever, then clicking on the IStation Icon.
	BrainPOP ELL is a platform where K-8th grade students who receive EB services can view educational videos from across different content areas, to support in English language acquisiton.	K-8th grade students access BrainPOP ELL by logging-in to Clever, then clicking on the BrainPOP ELL Icon.
